About Burghclere Pre-school

Our background

Burghclere Pre-School was established in January 1999 with just four children. It was the brain-child of a group of mums who felt there was a need for a pre-school within the village. Over fifteen years on we are now a well estbalished pre-school with a fantastic team and are proud of our community routes.

In September 2017 we were granted a 'Good' OFSTED rating. It quoted "Staff are good role models and consistently reinforce positive behaviour"

Our setting

The pre-school is based in Portal Hall, the local village hall which gives a fantasic space to work in. We have a secure outdoor play area which we use daily. Inside, we have a extensive range of equipment which we use to create learning zones, helping us to cover all the areas of learning as directed in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
